It varies depending on whether you want standard or HD and which platform you buy it for, but Rovio has revealed the company made $106.3 million in 2011.

As with all financials and big numbers, there are other big numbers too.  Rovio claimed to have 648 million games downloaded in total with monthly active users reaching 200 million across all platforms.

Merchandising and licensing, which Rovio calls “Consumer Products”, accounted for 30% of the total revenue.  The company is working with over 200 licensing partners on developing new products and services with the Angry Birds franchise (read; stuff like that TV series and moving we keep hearing about).

“The strong growth in revenue clearly demonstrates the popularity of the Angry Birds brand.” Mikael Hed, Rovio CEO said. “The heavy investments made in 2011 to all business areas will be seen in future products. To ensure continuous success we need to be creative and stay focused on entertaining our millions of fans by continuously developing new and innovative products and services.”
